Orcus

The "generation" of Microsoft development products that will be released is visual studio code name "Orcas", aka VS9, aka VS2007. We are planning for a campus launch some time semester 2. However there is a public beta out that is pretty stable. The beta works off .Net 3.5 and also extends C# with things like LINQ.

Office 2007 - Student Edition

As most of you know there is a $75 version of office 2007 available. This version contains most of the individual pieces of software that the ultimate version has. Microsoft is also offering a $25 yearly subsection for the same software.

You can buy the software and download it from http://itsnotcheating.com.au. However if you don't want to download the software then leave some contact details and i can get you a CD with the key pieces of the office suite.

Also if your interested in a trial of the software i can also get you a copy of that, same deal applies leave some contact info and I will get it to you.

UNSW Vista Launch

Its been a while since i updated this blog but there are several events round the corner. The main one that we have in planning is the windows Vista launch at the university its been planned in the next few weeks (after the semester break).

Here we will introduce the features of vista and we will have several presenters. We are going to showcase the features that make vista firstly and improvement of windows XP. Then what makes it unique from everything else that is out there.
